Eric Schaffer has been recognized as one of Southern Arizona\u2019s favorite singer\/songwriters, having been a finalist in the Great American Song Contest, the Passport To Nashville songwriting contest, a 3-time Tucson Folk Festival songwriting competition finalist and the winner of the 2022 Tumbleweed Music Festival songwriting contest.\u00a0 With a writing style heavily influenced by the great singer\/songwriters of the 60\u2019s and 70\u2019s and a voice that has been compared to Kris Kristofferson and Steve Earle, his songs are sometimes sweet, sometimes melancholy, sometimes funny, and always well crafted.\u00a0\u00a0 Eric has performed throughout the US and has opened shows for Clint Black, Blackberry Smoke, Marc Cohn, Lonestar and Darden Smith.<\/p>\n

Loren Dircks is well-known as one of Arizona\u2019s most accomplished guitar pickers. He was the front man and lead guitarist for the band Gila Bend when they pioneered \u201ccountry-punk\u201d in the \u201990s and continues to play everything from jazz to folk to punk and country.\u00a0\u00a0 Aside from his work with Eric and The Other Troublemakers, Loren still performs with Gila Bend and his new project, The Classless Chaps.<\/p>\n
