SUMMARY:The Timberline Cowboys with Special Guest Lindy Simmons
DESCRIPTION:The Timberline Cowboys came together by chance about two years ago. Both J. Michael Mullins and Geary Parsons have\, in one way or another\, been in the music industry for the majority of their lives. After singing together at Durango’s Cowboy Church for a year\, they decided to play and sing as a duo at the 2021 Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering. They were an immediate hit and discovered they had an unmistakable chemistry\, and an innate ability to connect with audiences. Most of what they do is original music\, dealing with the ranching and farming life prevalent in and around where they reside in the Four Corners area. Through lyrical ballads and up-tempo comedy songs\, they give the audience a first-hand look at what life is like for the still proud\, but dwindling numbers of cowboys and cowgirls in the great Southwest. While in high demand in and around Durango\, their music has been featured on numerous streaming and radio shows in the United States\, Canada\, Germany\, France\, and England. Their debut album\, Breathless\, is comprised of eleven original songs\, inspired by the unique characters and beautiful landscapes near their homes. They were chosen to perform at the Bar D Chuckwagon chapel all summer long this past year\, as well as headlining numerous benefits and fundraisers\, culminating in 2022 with a showcase appearance at the International Western Music Association’s annual convention. \nLindy Simmons \nMancos\, Colorado \nA ranch wife for almost fifty years\, Lindy also followed the family on the rodeo road and has done ranch work from bucking bales to feeding cows in the mud.  Her poetry reflects the antics of real cowboys.  A retired professor and fluent in Spanish\, she is a Southwest history buff.  Lindy won the poetry contest of the International Western Music Association in 2021.  She has been on the Durango Cowboy Gathering board for more than twenty years and has been cited as a “visionary” for her “Variety Show with a Twist” running fifteen years at the Durango gathering. \n  \nDoors open at 1 p.m.\, performances begin at 2:00 p.m.  Reservations are preferred; however\, walk-ins will be seated if space permits. The Arizona Folklore Preserve is located at 56 E. Folklore Trail in Hereford.  Make reservations at www.arizonafolklore.com.

SUMMARY:Patty Clayton
DESCRIPTION:Patty Clayton has been described as having a “voice as pure as the prairie wind” and is recognized for bringing her own brand of Western music to the forefront as a performing songwriter whose Buckaroo ballads and borrowed songs celebrate the present and the past of western America.  A descendant of Oregon Trail pioneers who settled and ranched in the Pacific Northwest\, she was raised in the West. \nPatty’s pure vocals have delighted Western and Folk audiences in a career that has spanned multiple decades\, both as a solo artist\, and with her band Cimarron Wind. She has been eagerly sought to share her wonderful sense of harmony for groups such as Jill Jones and the Lone Star Chorale\, duet Liz Masterson and Sean Blackburn\, and solo performers Dave Stamey\, Gary McMahan\, Nancy Thorwardson and Juni Fisher. Throughout her musical career\, Patty has also been the exclusive opening act for Baxter Black in Colorado\, Ian Tyson in Colorado\, and Don Edwards in Iowa.
